Description
The site consists of two wetland areas: Mons Pool to the south and Meering Marsh to the north. There is a footpath that runs from the two wetlands via the riverbank which offers the best viewing. The wetlands contain a variety of duck species and waders such as Csigaforgató and Bíbic, whilst passage birds include Halászsas and rozsdás csuk.

The site can be accessed from the A1133 south of Besthorpe following signs to the River Trent along Trent Lane. The nearest postcode is NG23 7HL. From Trent Lane continue along the road and turn left along an unmade road to reach the car park. There are no toilets on site.
