Brookmill's habitat is actively managed to provide the best conditions for species that are harder to spot elsewhere in London, including kungsfiskare, Silkeshäger, svarthätta and kungsfågel. The pond is very peaceful and particularly pretty in spring, with a very loud dawn chorus. nilgås, mandarinand and gråhäger also feed there.
