Description
Drakes Reservoir and Drakes Place Gardens, once managed by Plymouth City Council, is now within the campus of Plymouth University and is managed and maintained by them. The reservoir contains a number of Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio), once part of a caged study they managed to escape from the cages and now swim free.
One of those birding sites were anything can turn up, I personally had a Слуква лісова here one Winter, check out the Gull (Laridae) flocks bathing/loafing in the reservoir for more unusual species.
For those interested in botany, there is a interpretation board with map and list of plants in the collanade near the West entrance.
