Description
At Gunthorpe Gravel Pits 120+ species of bird have been seen, including Lappfiskand, Laksand and Siland in winter, when Vipe, Skjeand and teal can be numerous on flooded fields. Spring brings Rørsanger, Sivsanger, Gresshoppesanger to breed, and Svartterne, Steinskvett and Buskskvett on migration. In summer, Lerkefalk hunt swallows over the ponds.
