Description

There are many birds in Hinksey Lake, and many nesting. It is next to Hinksey Park and is popular during summer for fisherman and swimmers. kalatiira breed on floating platforms in large numbers. nokikana, silkkiuikku, kyhmyjoutsen, tukkasotka also breed in the area. lapasotka was seen here once.

Access

Hinksey Lake is located in the south of the city. The site is a 10 minutes drive from Oxford city center. Park at South Oxford Community Center if possible and view from Devil's Backbone bridge.
