From the Topper to the snowy white Kleine Burgemeester, the birds that can turn up at Hollowell Reservoir provide hours of birding. Other bird species you might spot include Rosse Franjepoot, Bonte Strandloper, Bontbekplevier as well as Gele Kwikstaart, Tapuit, Roodborsttapuit and Oeverpieper. And, if you are lucky, you may even spot Visarend and Boomvalk that regularly pay a visit. Note: Access to Hollowell Reservoir Nature Reserve is available for permit holders only (see more info below).

Access to Hollowell Reservoir Nature Reserve is available for permit holders only. To enjoy the peace and tranquility of the site for either walking, birdwatching, fishing or sailing a permit is required.
