Description

Thanks to its size and rural location Kessingland Beach rarely feels crowded, even during the sunniest summer days, unlike beaches further up the coast at Lowestoft. The beautiful beach has protected nesting Little Tern. Lovely beach walk for Sand Martin. Large lagoon for wading birds with sand pipers. Reed beds for warblers and Great Bittern and woodland for Common Cuckoo. A superb half or full day bird watching with a full variety must not be missed at the right time of year. Other birds that can be seen here are Kittiwake, Common Ringed Plover, schol Eurasian Oystercatcher, Shore Lark and Eurasian Skylark.
