Beautiful views and plenty of places to explore in a relatively small area, including the pier, rockpools, and beach. Parking and places to eat also in abundance. Huge noisy colony of Dreizehenmöwe breed underneath the pier in late summer, allowing for very close and intimate views of chicks and adults with little disturbance. In summer, this is a reliable place to see Schwarzkopfmöwe, often side by side with Lachmöwe. Through winter, flocks of Sanderling, Austernfischer, and Silbermöwe can be seen regularly, along with Kormoran, Mantelmöwe, and Heringsmöwe. Sterntaucher have also been reported here.

Zugang
Parking available throughout Mumbles within walking distnace, and some limited parking available right next to the pier itself. Recommend parking in the 'Big Apple Car Park' on the clifftop above the pier for great views. Cycling is common, including the use of the Swansea Santander hire bikes.
