Description
Riverside paths follow the course of the Bovey, as it meanders through woodlands and meadows rich in plant and wildlife. There is also a medieval weir, walled garden and orchard with historic apple trees. Birds you can expect in the area are Большой пёстрый дятел, Снегирь, Черноголовый щегол, Певчий дрозд, Обыкновенный поползень, Пустельга обыкновенная, Горная трясогузка, Оляпка and Сойка.

Access
Located directly to the west of the village of Bovey Tracey. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking of Parke estate. The 6 km circular walk that is indicated on the map passes through the Parke Estate. It passes through a beautiful section of wild forest along a scenic section of the River Bovey and then climbs to return through fields and wild meadows and a short section of the disused railway line. The hike follows forest, river and meadow trails that can be quite muddy after rainy weather. There are public toilets both in the car park at the start and on the way back within the Parke Estate. Approximate time 2 hours.
