Description
Newtown Creek is a beautiful natural estuary on the Isle of Wight. It is part of the Newtown National Nature Reserve, managed by the National Trust. Secluded creeks and waterways, and picturesque natural harbour filled with both native and visiting birds, making this one of the best sites on the Isle of Wight for birdwatching. Birds you can observe include Δαχτυλιδόχηνα, (Ευρωπαϊκό) Σφυριχτάρι, Βαρβάρα, Ψαλίδα (του Βορά), Θαλασσοπρίστης, Αργυροπούλι, Αμμοσφυριχτής, (Ευρασιατική) Τουρλίδα, (Ευρωπαϊκή) Λιμόζα, Κοκκινοσκέλης, Πρασινοσκέλης and many more.

Access
Newton Creek is in the north of the Isle of Wight, and reached by minor roads off the main A3054 road between Newport and Yarmouth. The easiest way to get there is by car. You can park at Newtown Creek Carpark. Press P on the map for directions. From the parking you can continue along the trails on foot.
