Despite that Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a relatively new park, some interesting species have established at the site. The park is a mix of formal horticultural areas and wilder habitats including reedbeds, small woodlands and wildflower meadows. Interesting species recorded here include ängspiplärka, svart rödstjärt, backsvala, cettisångare, kungsfiskare and Pilgrimsfalk.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is free to visit and is open 24 hours a day. Easily accessible from Stratford station (1), Pudding Mill Lane on the Docklands Light Railway (2) or Hackney Wick overground station (3). The site is 525 acres (91 hectares) and takes about 2 hours to walk around.
