Description
Located in the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greylake is a flat wetland with good paths and reedbed. Thanks to all the water, you can see cibík chochlatý, kalužiak červenonohý and močiarnica mekotavá nesting in the spring. Smaller birds such as trsteniarik malý, trasochvost žltý and strnádka trstinová can be heard and seen singing from the trails.
Over winter, vast flocks of ducks and waders, being hunted by birds of prey. cibík chochlatý and kulík zlatý are sometimes joined by pobrežník čiernozobý, bojovník bahenný and brehár čiernochvostý. Large flocks of kačica hvizdárka, kačica chrapka and smaller groups of kačica lyžičiarka, kačica chripľavka and kačica ostrochvostá feed in front of the hides. sokol sťahovavý and kaňa močiarna are seen regularly and sokol kobec and kaňa sivá occasionally.

Access
There is a free car park off A361 (Ashcott to Taunton road) well signposted just before entrance. There is a boardwalk which meanders from the car park to the hide and provides disabled access. Said to be wheelchair friendly but never tried.
