Description
RSPB The Oa is home to many important breeding and wintering birds, including Kırmızıgagalı dağkargası, Kaya kartalý, Gökçe delice, Gök doðan and occasionally Bıldırcın kılavuzu. During the winter months the reserve is very important for wintering Sakarca and in particular, Sarıgagalı ketenkuşu. With The Oa reserve hosting likely the largest wintering flock in the UK. Kaya kartalý is present throughout the year, soaring above the cliffs and moors.

By bus: The nearest bus stop is in Port Ellen. By road: Approximately 6 miles (9.6 km) south-west of Port Ellen, Isle of Islay. Car park is situated on unnamed road, on the way to the American Monument PA42 7AU, Isle of Islay. Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular route indicated on the map is about 3 km.
