Description
This site little visited by birdwatchers is a bit of a gem. St Anthony-in-Meneage is a small hamlet on the North shore of Gillan Creek, the creek is completely tidal to the point the South West Coastal Path crosses the creek by way of stepping stones at low tide. NOTE some roads around the area are extremely narrow (the road along the creeks Northern shore has warning signs saying Weak Road/ 6' - 6" Wide). The creek is East facing into Falmouth Bay and is sheltered from prevailing South West winds. Dennis Head overlooks Falmouth Bay, in Winter Himbrimi, Glitbrúsi, Hrafnsönd and Æðarfugl can be expected. BE AWARE St Anthony-in-Meneage is a popular yachting/sailing destination, for such a small place it can become very busy and parking can be a problem, a visit outside of the busy Summer season may be best.

Access
Because of the numerous roads in the area, some of which are extremely narrow and many are unsigned, you will have to press P on map and trust in sat-nav to get to the site if traveling from nearest large towns of Falmouth (to the Northeast) or Helston (to the West).
