Description
Sutton Bank has some excellent birding around it, including being one of Britain's northernmost locations to see turturikyyhky. The bird feeders around the visitor centre buildings often attract this, as well as turkinkyyhky, keltasirkku and tits including viitatiainen. The surrounding open woodlands and scrub hold metsäkirvinen and several warblers.
Best visited in the early morning or late afternoon, when there are fewer people around, but the birds are mostly used to human presence and some can be seen at the feeders all day even when the site is crowded.
