Description
Tentsmuir Forest National Nature Reserve provides a variety of wildlife. The area has woods, mud and sand estuary, heath and sand dunes. Grey seals float effortlessly on their backs upriver on a rising tide, only their rounded noses showing above water. In September/October waders are varied (up to 13 species though not numerous). Havelle, Bergand, Ærfugl, Kvinand and Svartand offshore. Rugde, Fuglekonge and Grankorsnebb in the woods. Svartstrupe, Buskskvett, Steinskvett and Heipiplerke on the dunes.
