Description
Valley Wetlands RSPB Reserve has Большая выпь that can be heard booming and occasionally flying over the reedbeds. There is a Береговушка colony on the river Crigyll, plus Тростниковая овсянка, Тростниковая камышевка, Камышевка-барсучок, Обыкновенный сверчок, Черноголовый чекан and Полевой жаворонок. In winter Широконоска, Свиязь, Чирок-свистунок and Шилохвость. Best to visit before 8.30 am as the jets from the aerodrome are noisy later on. There are otters, dragonflies and pyramid orchids.

Valley Wetlands has a car park on site. The reserve is in the NW corner of Anglesey and accessible by bus or car, see link below. There is also a train station at Rhosneigr.
