Yarrow Valley Country Park covers over 300 hectares featuring a mix of lake, river, waterfall, and walking trails. The area includes woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands. It was created on land previously used for bleaching, dyeing, calico printing and mining. Yarrow Valley Country Park has restored mill lodges and water courses, footpaths, picnic areas and a purpose built visitor centre. Bird you can observe include Coruja-do-mato, Trepadeira-azul, Carriça, Pisco-de-peito-ruivo, Mergulhão-pequeno, Cisne-vulgar and Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno.

Yarrow Valley Country Park is located between Chorley and Coppull. The park is sign posted with brown tourist signs around the Chorley area. The park is situated off the B5251 Chorley to Coppull Road. On road parking as well as free car park. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. Admission is free. The walking route indicated on the map is about 2,5 km.
Public Transport: Nearest railway and bus stations are Chorley interchange. Bus routes C2, C3 and 362 leave Chorley interchange every 15 minutes and the C1 every 60 minutes during daylight hours. The nearest bus stop to the visitor centre is located on Coppull Road (B5251) near it's junction with Birkacre Road.
