Descrizione
Jackson’s Landing, or what used to be called Jug Bay (not to be confused with another birding area across the bay), has a number of great habitats to enjoy some good early spring birding (late April). The main attraction is the boardwalk, where a good array of species can be found, including Prothonotary Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Yellow-throated Warbler, Wood Duck, Sora and other marsh loving species. There are also some nice upland forest trails where you can find Scarlet Tanager, Great Crested Flycatcher and other migrants in spring. Out in the bay, there are many nesting Osprey and Laughing Gulls often pass by. There is also a public boat launch if you want to canoe the area.
