Description
Martin Luther King Jr Park is a community park that spans about 10 acres. Besides a small playground and a walking path of approximately 1 km, the community garden and the bushes under the adjacent high-voltage power line are particularly noteworthy. During migration periods (March–May and August–November), almost all regularly occurring songbirds of the region can be expected, including less common species such as Lincoln's Sparrow, Philadelphia Vireo and Wilson's Warbler. In winter, several species of bunting, woodpecker, and finch can be found in the park and along the wooded park edges. Among the breeding birds are Pileated Woodpecker, Brown-headed Nuthatch and Eastern Bluebird.
