Shkodra Lake is a must see birding destination with 283 species, migratory and non migratory. On the route to the Dalmatian Pelican site you can easily see birds like Grey Heron, Little Egret, Great Cormorant and other water birds. And plenty of small passerines, finches and tits. Also birds of prey like Common Buzzard, Marsh Harrier, Osprey etc.

Easy accessible by car, until the point in Zogaj where you have to take a boat with a guide to go to the exact place for Dalmatian Pelican and not disturbing them during birding and photographing. cycling to the area is also a good option. From Shkodra city center its only 12 km to Zogaj.
