Description

The Rhine Delta Observation Deck (Rheindelta Fußacher Bucht Beobachtungsplattform) is a great birding hotspot because in every season of the year you can observe different birds. The whole year you can see for example Eurasian Curlew, Great Egret, Western Marsh Harrier or Bearded Tit. In the winter half-year there are a lot of water birds like Whooper Swan, Common Teal or Common Pochard. In the summer half-year there are Little Bittern, Purple Heron, Black Kite or Common Tern. But the best time of the year is the period of migration with many shorebirds, flycatchers and many other migratory birds that make a stop in the area.
