Description
The Schlatzingeraue Natur Park is located in the center of the Maltatal and consists of a small resting area surrounded with wet grasslands and forests next to the river. A small track leads you around the grassland and next to the river, where species such as Grey Wagtail and White-throated Dipper can be seen. Small patches of bushes and scattered trees are great for songbirds, like Blackcap and Eurasian Treecreeper and woodpeckers, like Great Spotted Woodpecker.
The grassland has several patches with bushes in which species, such as Lesser Whitethroat, can be found. With a bit of luck, a Red-backed Shrike might show up here too! The forests, mainly pine, are great for species such as Crested Tit, Coal Tit and Firecrest. Also, fairly large numbers of Nutcracker can be found here too!
