Description

The trail runs between the wooded mountain slopes of the Tuxer Alps and the fast-flowing Tuxer Bach. It is a hilly terrain that is easily accessible in both summer and winter. Because the trail is on the shady side of the mountain, it's covered in snow well into spring. The White-throated Dipper finds a tailor-made habitat in the fast-flowing Tuxer Bach and dozens of them can be seen in the course of the Tuxer Bach. In addition, this area offers the opportunity to see numerous forest birds, which are particularly good to see in winter. For example: Coal Tit, Eurasian Bullfinch, Greenfinch, European Goldfinch and Nutcracker.
