Description
The pond area is a paradise for birds. There are three birdwatching hides. The Abeek is a beautiful stream valley. It is an area with forests, swamps and meadows. A lot of special animals and plants are present here. In ‘St-Maartensheide’, you can spot rare birds.

Trails are pointed out with different indications for each distance depending between 6,9 km and 10,2 km. The route you see on the map is 7,2 km. There are connections with other nature reserves in the area: Smeetshof and Stamproyerbroek.
