Description

This unique place offers a panoramic view of the landscape between the rivers Schelde en Leie. In autumn there are always raptors around and it's a very good spot to watch migrating birds, especially early in the morning. Between half august and half september, there are usually European Marsh Harrier , European Honey-buzzard , Peregrine Falcon , Eurasian Kestrel and Common Buzzard around. Good chance to see Hen Harrier and Red Kite as well. It has become a famous spot to see Dotterel , both in autumn and spring. Northern Wheatear ,Whinchat and Tawny Pipit are also regular in migration periods. In  autumnmornings, there are usually birdwatchers  on the platform. From this platform, already 193 species have been seen in the last 15 years, not bad for an inland spot. There is always the possibility something unexpected turns up here.
