Groot Molsbroek is a nature reserve with a diverse landscape of marsh, wet forest, river dunes, reed lands and open waters.
The mosaic of landscape types makes Groot Molsbroek a great place to watch a lot of different bird species. Among the birds you can see here are Common Shelduck, Northern Shoveler, Common Teal, Black-headed Gull, Little Bittern, Grey Heron, Little Egret, Great Spotted Woodpecker, European Goldfinch, Bluethroat, Sedge Warbler, Common Kingfisher, Great Crested Grebe, Black-necked Grebe, Common Pochard, Eurasian Curlew, Great Bittern, Snipe, Water Rail, Eurasian Green Woodpecker and Cetti's Warbler.
You can discover the area by foot or bike, after parking your car at different spots. At the Molsbergenstraat you find the visitor center where you can get a map of the area. There are parking spots in Molbergenstraat and Hamstraat 1. The circular walking route on the map is about 8 km.
