Antwerpen  >  Belgium

A varied nature reserve, where marshes alternate with grazed areas and willow thickets.

Added by Bert Mertens

Description

The Hobokense Polder is one of the most beautiful green spots in Antwerp. In a Scheldt riverbend near the city you will find a varied landscape - from polder over marsh to forest. Due to the large variation in vegetation, there is also a large variation in the avifauna present. Some nice birds you can see are Water RailCommon Cuckoo, Little Grebe, Northern Shoveler and European Honey-buzzard.
