Mixed forest with some old beech lanes. Woodpeckers like Black Woodpecker and Lesser Spotted Woodpecker breed here as well as Northern Goshawk and other birds of prey. In spring you may experience a real concert of song birds: warblers, thrushes, tits, Pied Flycatcher and Goldcrest, while in winter, there's different species of finches and if you're lucky you may see an Woodcock hiding beneath the bushes or gulls, Wood Lark and European Stonechat on the surrounding fields.
Ideally done by foot, especially the smaller paths that are very interesting. The bigger roads are also ideal for cycling. You can park your car next to the crucifix in the Veldkruisstraat.
