West-Vlaanderen  >  Belgium

The eastern seawall of the port of Ostend offers good opportunities for birdwatching.

Added by Ignaas Robbe

Description

On the Oostelijke Havendam Oostende (seawall) there are almost always  Ruddy Turnstone and Purple Sandpiper around. It's a good place for gulls, terns, seabirds. It can be good in autumn migration, especially when there is a NW-wind blowing! The beach nearby has sometimes a lot of gulls, terns and waders.
