Description

The big pond is home to different types of ducks, Eurasian Coot, Grey Heron, Great Cormorant, Little Grebe, Mute Swan and many more, which can be seen from the bird watching hide (see map).

Also the Common Kingfisher, different woodpeckers, Short-toed Treecreeper andEurasian Nuthatch reside in the area.

In winter time the Water Rail can be found in the protected natural area called 'Lovenarenbroek'.

There are different car parks and also a camper site. The area can only be explored on foot.
