Description

During winter and spring the wetland and meadows of Reymere en Paardenweide are good feeding and resting grounds for geese and ducks including Barnacle Goose, Northern Pintail, Garganey, Common Shelduck, Eurasian Wigeon and Common Teal. Also many other birds. For example Common Kingfisher, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Northern Lapwing and Little Ringed Plover.

You can park your car at the carpark of the GC Groendal in Merelbeke (Brandegemse Ham 5) or see the P on the map. There is also direct bus accces to GC Groenendal from the trainstation of Ghent or Merelbeke.

The circular walking route shown on the map is about 3 km.
