Urban park along the fast flowing river Una in the small town of Bihać. The river has many small islands and small rapids. Some good birds can be found here.

Description

Gradski Park Bihać is located along the fast flowing mountain river Una. In the winter there are hundreds of ducks, mainly Mallard. Some other duck species can be seen like Gadwall, Northern Pintail and Common Teal. In the trees there are common birds like Great Tit, Eurasian Blue Tit and Great Spotted Woodpecker. In spring other birds can be seen in nearby trees at the park migrating back to the mountains above. Also at the park in spring you can see Blackcap, Common Chaffinch and some other species. During the breeding season, outside the city you can see White-throated Dipper and Goosander who nest nearby. Also other species like White Stork, Grey Heron and Common Buzzard.

You can park in the village and explore the area on foot. To explore the surrounding area further outside the city a car is necessary.
