An open hilly area on the pass through Eastern Balkan Range, a good place for stationary watching the raptors and pelicans migration, especially in autumn time.

Description

Easy place to stop near the road and watch the passage of the birds of prey, storks, pelicans and passerines, crossing the Balkan Range. The altitude allows some quite close views of Lesser Spotted Eagle and Greater Spotted Eagle, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Pallid Harrier and other. Flocks of Great White Pelican and Dalmatian Pelican, Black Stork and White Stork can also pass with impressive numbers.

Follow the Road 906 to the highest place to the South-West of Panitsovo Village and park the car near to the road. It is possible to make a walk and to explore the area around as well.
