Presence of standing and fallen dead wood provides excellent conditions for Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Grey-headed Woodpecker, Eurasian Green Woodpecker and Black Woodpecker, but also Wood Warbler, Common Redstart and Tree Pipit. The site is situated on the migratory flyway of storks, pelicans and birds of prey which can be observed from some of the open areas around.
