Description

In this area, fresh-water lakes are scarce and Kammerslusen Clay Excavations constitute one of the larger lakes for miles. Active grazing and seasonal varying water levels prevents the area from overgrowing and creates nice, exposed mud flats in the spring, summer and autumn. The area is especially good for waders, ducks and gulls, but it is also one of the best places for Short-eared Owl in winter and spring.
