Reforestation project started in 2018. The forest is approximately 130 hectares, of which 30 hectares are laid out as open grasslands and wetlands.

To protect water resources from contamination, Vandsamarbejdet, Sønderborg Kommune og Naturstyrelsen bought farmland and started a reforestation project. At Oksbøl Skov you can encounter birds like Red Kite, Common Redstart, Cuckoo, Long-tailed Tit, Blackcap, Garden Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, Greater Whitethroat and Yellowhammer.



Oksbøl Østergade south of the church or parking lot at Havnbjergvej. Click on a P in the map to get directions. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 4 km long.
