Nice place to watch the White-tailed Eagle nest on a small island in lake Skarresø. Also many other birds and a nice view over the lake to Jyderup.

Description

Lake Skarresø is a big lake surrounded by woodlands. In the southern part of the lake, there is a bird observation point. According to BirdLife Denmark (DOF), more than 140 bird species have been recorded around the lake. There is a good opportunity to see different birds of prey. The largest of them is the White-tailed Eagle, which has been breeding at the lake since 2003. Among the other birds you can see in the area are Common Kingfisher, Tufted Duck, Northern Shoveler, Great Cormorant, Common Tern and Red Kite.
