Description

Annala Manor Park is a historical park in Helsinki. The buildings and garden up on the hill, along with numerous oak trees, reflect the park’s history. The 13.2-hectare park has different themed garden areas present eg. useful plants, herbs, plants used for coloring etc. The paths and scenic viewing points that were built in the 1800s have all been restored recently. At the same time the formal garden in front of the manor house from the early 1900s was renovated along with the terrace of the garden building, the gardens next to the orangery and the fish pond alongside the Hämeentie road. The park is a nice area for urban birding. Among the birds you can encounter are Great Spotted Woodpecker, Eurasian Siskin, European Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Thrush Nightingale, Spotted Flycatcher, Blackcap and Sparrowhawk.
