Golf course that's a good spot for bird watching in early spring.
The Vuosaari golf course attracts migrating birds in early spring and as soon as the snow starts to melt from the hill tops, the first Skylark start to arrive. Whooper Swan, Canada Goose, Greylag Goose and Barnacle Goose like to stop to rest and eat on the fields too. Sometimes one can spot birds like Reed Bunting, Snow Bunting and Lapland Bunting there too. Northern Goshawk is a year round sight flying a top the field and sometimes Eurasian Kestrel and Great Grey Shrike hunt in the area too.
There is a parking place closeby on the other side of the road. The place is accessible by bike. There are walking trails on the golf course. The fields tend to be snowy and slippery in spring.
Good to note: During golfing season, it's dangerous to walk in the area. It's a good spot to visit before the golf season starts.
