Baggersee is a popular recreational lake created from a former gravel pit. It is easy to observe Eurasian Coot and Mute Swan with their young (summer). In winter, Yellow-legged Gull arrive in large numbers accompanied by Great Cormorant and Tufted Duck.

Access
Baggersee is located just south of Strasbourg, in the town of Illkirch-Graffenstaden. It's easily accessible by public transport from Strasbourg city center, with tram line A. From the tram stop (1) it is a short walk to the Baggersee. You can also park near the lake. Press P on the map for directions to the parking.
