Bocage de la Vallée de la Grosne

The grasslands of Savigny-sur-Grosne are made up of pastures and a wooded bocage which is increasingly rare in the area.

Bocage de la Vallée de la Grosne is home to grassland birds typical of southern Burgundy. The most emblematic species of this sector is undoubtedly the Woodchat Shrike. There is also Yellowhammer and Hoopoe. These are also the feeding areas of species such as Booted Eagle and Black Stork. In the village you can find Little Owl, Black Redstart or Eurasian Scops Owl.


Français: Les prairies de Savigny-sur-Grosne sont composées de pâtures et d'un bocage arboré de plus en plus rare dans le secteur. Ces prairies bocagères abritent une avifaune prairiale typique du sud de la Bourgogne, l'espèce la plus emblématique de ce secteur est sans nul doute la Woodchat Shrike on y retrouve également le Yellowhammer ou encore la Hoopoe. Il s'agit également des zones d'alimentation d'espèces prestigieuses comme l' Booted Eagle ou la Black Stork Dans le village on retrouve la Little Owl , le Black Redstart ou encore le Eurasian Scops Owl.



Access to the site is via the village of Savigny-sur-Grosne. You can then follow the small country roads, the paths and the cycle path to have views of the meadows and the river. Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 3 km.
