Description

The Crussol area makes it possible to observe typically Mediterranean species with ease. In the winter season, its cliffs, quarries and ruins also serve as a wintering area for some Wallcreeper and Alpine Accentor. The area consists of forests of holm oaks and cliffs dominating the Rhône Valley. This rocky apron also serves as a natural landmark for migratory birds which can be abundant during migration periods. Ideally placed, the site is very easy to access and very close to the Autoroute du Soleil. Crussol can be discovered in less than an hour by staying in the ruins of the castle, or in a few hours by going around the massif.
