Etang de Lindre

Embedded in a network of mainly forest lakes and ponds, Lake Lindre is one of the best water bird watching sites in the region.

Etang de Lindre is bordered by forests and attracts many migrating bird species (including waders) but also wintering species such as White-tailed Eagle, Common Crane and various species of ducks and geese.


Français: Imbriqué dans un réseau de lacs et d'étangs principalement forestiers, l'étang de Lindre est un des meilleurs sites d'observation des oiseaux d'eau de la région. Lac bordé de forêts, l'etang de Lindre est un espace d'accueil privilégié d'espèces migratrices (parmi lesquelles les limicoles) mais aussi les hivernants tels que le White-tailed Eagle, la Common Crane et diverses espèces de canards et d'oies.



The lake can be accessed by various roads and some villages have direct access. Best way to get there is via Tarquimpol, Guermange or Lindre-Basse. The circular route indicated on the map is about 23 km long.
