The coastline near the village of Géfosse-Fontenay has a pleasant setting with beautiful rising and falling tides which allows shorebirds and sea ducks to approach the coast. Among the birds you can observe are Brent Goose, Red-breasted Merganser, Velvet Scoter, Common Scoter. Purple Sandpiper, Red Knot, Kentish Plover, Grey Plover, Eurasian Curlew and Eurasian Oystercatcher.
