Description

The Grand Etang de Pontoux houses an important nesting colony of Black-crowned Night-Heron as well as Purple HeronLittle EgretEuropean Marsh Harrier and Great Reed Warbler. The pond is also an interesting site to look for migratory birds (ducks and shorebirds).

Français: Etang de 27 hectares situé à proximité de la rivière du Doubs et abritant une importante héronnière observable depuis un affût aménagé. L'étang abrite une importante colonie nicheuse de Black-crowned Night-Heron ainsi que Purple Heron Little Egret European Marsh Harrier Great Reed Warbler ... C'est aussi un site intéressant pour les haltes migratoires (canards et limicoles)
