Description
Gravière Vogelau is a former gravel pit, now transformed into a landscape featuring ponds and wetlands. Many Great Cormorant and Mallard are seen throughout the year, often with Canada Goose and some Greylag Goose. In winter, Tufted Duck and Gadwall are common, and sometimes Eurasian Wigeon and even Northern Pintail are also seen.

Gravière Vogelau is located 8 km north of Strasbourg. From Strasbourg, take the road heading north towards Schiltigheim. You can park along the streets. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. Best to explore the area on foot.
