La Varenne de Chevelu is an old gravel pit which is a migratory stopover appreciated by many birds. Discovering the riches of this site is only possible during guided and supervised visits. Contact the Conservatory of Natural Areas of Loir-et-Cher (see the link below).


Français: Cette ancienne carrière de granulat est aujourd'hui devenue une zone humide d'intérêt pour la vallée du Loir. Elle accueille une avifaune diversifiée sur l'axe migratoire et constitue l'un des derniers sites de reproduction du Pélodyte ponctué (petit crapaud) dans le Perche.
