Description
Lac de Madine is a large lake located between Metz and Nancy. The lake attracts many waterfowl and all kinds of herons. There are interesting information boards in various places with information about the birds that occur there and there is a bird hide. From the bird hide turn left again along the cycling/walking path, you will pass a few small ponds full of Grey Heron, Little Egret, Great Egret, Purple Heron and if you're lucky a Great Bittern.

Il y a des panneaux d'information intéressants à divers endroits avec des informations sur les oiseaux qui s'y trouvent et il y a un observatoire d'oiseaux. De l'observatoire, tournez encore à gauche le long de la piste cyclable/pédestre, vous passerez devant quelques petits étangs pleins de Grey Heron, Little Egret, Great Egret, Purple Heron et si tu as de la chance un Great Bittern.

Access
The bird watching area is located on the west side of the lake and is marked 'Point d'observatoire d'oiseaux Lac de Madine'. Click on the p in the map for directions. From the parking lot you have to walk or cycle the last bit. There is also a motorhome parking nearby and there are hiking trails. The other side of the lake is a busy recreational area and less interesting for birdwatching.

L'autre côté du lac est une zone de loisirs très fréquentée et moins intéressante pour l'observation des oiseaux.
