Description

Lac des prés Saint-Jean is a lake which in spring shelters a colony of herons with Cattle Egret, Little Egret and Black-crowned Night-Heron. At the end of August until the middle of September an important dormitory of Cattle Egret is on the island of the lake. At the level of the largest buildings close to the lake, there is a colony of Alpine Swift, Common Swift and House Martin. During cold winters the lake is visited by many gulls as well as loons and grebes.
